Clear Lymph Node!!!

                I had my first follow-up with my wonderful surgeon this afternoon and found out that the one lymph node they took was all CLEAR!! Woo Hoo, Fantastic News!




The drains 9/1/2014

                Last Tuesday September 2^nd I had my drains removed which was fantastic… the drains were quite annoying and uncomfortable,  I was so relieved to get them pulled.

                Two weeks from tomorrow September 23^rd is the big day for me. I meet with my oncologist at Moffit to find out what my next step is… chemo or no chemo… and I’m expecting to eventually be put on tamoxifen.  On that same day I’ll also meet with my plastic surgeon and get my first expander fill! So that’s exciting to start the pumping up stretching process. I’ve heard/read that it can be painful, the stretching so hopefully it’s not too unbearable.

Overall I’m healing great and feeling pretty good, just normal soreness and my right arm is still uncomfortable but overall much better than I was expecting to feel and look 17 days post-surgery.
